Sam Alley

Public Access Program Manager

Sam Alley brings a passion for community engagement, public access, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect with the places they call home. Throughout his career, Sam has worked in mission-driven nonprofit and community-focused roles, building experience in youth development, volunteer management, event planning, board development, philanthropy, and public programming.

Before joining Solano Land Trust, Sam worked with the City of Pittsburg Recreation Department, where he focused on developing programs and partnerships that strengthen community connections and expand opportunities for residents. Sam also spent time with Fusion Learning Partners managing events and partnerships with organizations hoping to advance their profession in the fields of city engineering, education, health, information technology, and event planning.  Sam also spent 13 years with the YMCA working in youth development.

Sam is excited to bring this experience to Solano Land Trust and to help connect more people with Solano County's incredible landscapes and open spaces. He is especially passionate about creating welcoming opportunities for people of all backgrounds to experience, appreciate, and care for the natural places that make the region special.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys making art, playing disc golf and spending time with his son PJ.
