Come explore the hills between Fairfield, Benicia, and Vallejo. Solano Land Trust docents will guide you through this area, known as the King-Swett Ranches. Docents will share insights about the birds and other wildlife that call this area home, and give you a great workout!
Hike level: Moderate to Moderately Strenuous
Please note: Vallejo Swett is an undeveloped property with no formal trails. This is a rugged & an off trail hike. Participants could be climbing or going under fences, and tree branches. Docents also can go up & along of steep and clumpy ground mountain sides.

Parking: Please park in the main parking lot. Parking is $5, payable by cash or card at the kiosk.
Participants are encouraged to expect to stay in the park during the entire duration of the activity

* Snack (docents may allow for a snack break during the hike)

Get the Rush! is a series of fun activities for the whole family, offered on the third Saturday of every month at Rush Ranch. From 10 -12pm guests can visit the Blacksmith shop, Rush Ranch Outfitter’s shop and various exhibit tables.
Special Feature: Back to School! Meet our community partners! Solano Library will be there with their mystery van!
* Wagon rides will start up again in April of 2025!

This hike will take visitors westward along Middle Valley Trail leading to Prairie Ridge. Expect about a 5 mile hike at a moderate, but even pace over uneven ground. Muddy spots will have cattle prints. There are steep climbs over several hills with the longest at Prairie Ridge. It’s worth it to see the view of the northern San Francisco Bay.
Meet in the parking lot: Parking is $5. Please be prepared to pay by cash or check. Envelopes are in the iron ranger near the main gate.
