Bird of Prey Hikes

Bird of Prey Season

Each year from fall through late winter West County Hawkwatch leads weekend hikes so people can learn about the birds of prey that call the Solano Land Trust properties their home.

This moderately strenuous hike will be about 4 miles and include over 600-700 feet of elevation gain (approximately)
During this viewing season, bring your binoculars and join a group to see the magnificent bids that rely on our protected agricultural open spaces for habitat.

Birders of all levels of experience are welcome.

Suggested Items to Bring:
binoculars
water
snacks/lunch
good hiking footwear
sun protection
layered clothing ( usually starts off cooler and towards the afternoon, it can get warmer)
