Trail Crew

Come join us in building trails and other projects at Lynch Canyon and Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi!

Meet cool people who care about land in Solano County. Be part of the legacy of maintaining trails and open spaces for public access.

Trail Crew provides stewardship support to Solano Land Trust stewardship staff. Trail crew work focuses on the maintenance of trails, roads, and the strengthening of ecological integrity and resilience of the land and improving the visitor’s experience.

This position provides an opportunity for the right individual to form a deep and lasting connection with staff and our conserved lands.

Goal: Model stewardship to balance inclusive recreation and conservation

Responsibilities and Scope:

  • Survey trails
  • Clear vegetation and debris from paths
  • Improve trails with hand-tools
  • Control erosion
  • Construct trail infrastructure and help install trail signage
  • Maintain grounds around structures
  • Care for gardens
  • Improve facilities

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Volunteer orientation, including communications training
  • Safety-oriented professional attitude
  • A desire to work hard
  • A level of fitness that is commensurate with the job functions
  • Ability to work cooperatively

Commitment: 3+ Hours a month

Trail Crew at Lynch Canyon – Every 2nd Saturday of the month. Registration Is Required.

Trail Crew at Patwino Worrlta Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park -Every 4th Saturday of the month. Registration Is Required.
