Meet in Welcome Plaza/ Native Plant Garden at Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park

Please join us this month for a special Community Science, Solano Land Trust's Gall Week Bio Blitz event!

Plant galls are abnormal growths of plant tissues--similar to tumors or warts in animals--caused by insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, or other organisms. They're often intricate structures that can identify the species that made them, even when that organism isn't visible.

During September 5-13, Gall Week is being hosted on iNaturalist! The purpose of this project is to photograph galls and post them to a shared iNaturalist project to amplify Gall data records, and to learn more about the Galls we have at Patwino.

Dress in layers, bring a charged Cellphone/ portable battery if necessary, water fountain and restrooms located in Welcome Plaza.
