Things you should know before you come:
Q - What’s going on at Rockville Trails?
A – A contractor has cut 2 miles of trail using special trail building equipment. Because of this, the heavy trail cutting is already done. Volunteers will help us push the extra dirt from the trail cutting down the hill. This will help finish the trail off and make sure it drains properly.
Q – Do I need to bring my own tools?
A – We will have plenty of shovels and gloves for the crew. If you would like to bring your own work gloves, you are welcome to do so.
Q – Is this different then the monthly trail crew?
A – Yes! Trail crew on Sept 28, Oct 4 and Oct 12 will be focusing on finishing the NEW trails at Rockville Trails. That means you’ll be the first to see the beautiful oaks, amazing rocks and panoramic views from this trail system.
Q – Who should participate?
A – If you can hike a mile, move a shovel-full of dirt and like to be outside – you should definitely come! If you want to get a workout, outside of the gym or your normal routine – this is a great opportunity to do that! If you want to meet other people who care about land and people in Solano County – you will be in the rights place! Kids over 10 years only and no dogs, please.
Q – Should I bring my own food and water?
A – We will have plenty of water and pizza at noon. You are welcome to bring snacks and extra water.
