Spotlight: Ramping up

One of the biggest comforts over the last year has been knowing that people have continued to use our spaces during the pandemic. Birders and bikers, scientists and schoolkids, all got to experience the benefits of the land.

Few groups contributed as much as the Eagle Scouts, who built two equestrian ramps at Lynch Canyon. “The final projects done by Eagle Scouts before they turn 18 involves many steps from designing the project to raising funds," says field operations manager Jordan Knippenberg. "The Eagle Scout organizes a team of laborers from his troop, while playing the role of director and not doing any manual labor himself.”

So, a hearty thanks to Eddie Sievers and Troop 182 and David Watson and Troop 864 for picking Solano Land Trust and putting in the hard work!
