Registration Required.

Join Larry Broderick for a Bird of Prey Presentation and  Hike at Rush Ranch on Saturday February 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Learn about eagles, hawks and falcons – the ways they fly, what they eat, where they hunt and rest, and why they migrate long distances or stay in one place all year.  Larry Broderick will lead the workshop and hike where he covers birds of prey identification methods, natural history and threats, and the importance of habitat protection and restoration. Participants learn how to identify differences between species, distinctions across individuals within one species, and changes over time during one individual’s life.

All ages are welcome, but participants must be prepared for a moderate pace covering about 4 miles, possibly off-trail in places that are full of sticky seeds, thorny plants and thistle, and passing free range cattle along the way.

*PLEASE NOTE: The hike fee is $10.
