Our Galaxy, our home in the universe. How does our galaxy stack up to others? How do galaxies form? Why is our Galaxy called the Milky Way? These are the topics that will be covered in this month’s stargazing night. Telescopes will be provided for everyone’s viewing when it gets dark. Anyone who has their own telescope or binoculars are encouraged to bring them. To protect the night vision of viewers, participants should cover flashlights with red cellophane. Latecomers should dim their headlights. For those who want to come early, there will be a very casual discussion regarding your question thoughts and ideas on astronomy and space exploration.
In case of inclement weather, the presentations in the classroom will still be held, but the telescopes will not be set up.
